Isaac's descendants lost all their property and wealth and were probably expelled with the other English Jews in 1290 under Edward I.
Why are they famous?
In 1210, following a dispute with King John, Isaac was imprisonned and his property and goods were confiscated.

Isaac of Norwich married a Christian named Maryld, daughter of Humphrey de Havile. Also a Jew, he continued his father Jurnet's work as a moneylender and paid a small fortune in taxes. His descendants were often taxed heavily and persecuated for their faith, and eventually they converted to Christianity.
